According to the AP, the Democrats in Congress will use the time remaining in their session to draft legislation that will highlight the political agenda of their Presidential nominee, Barack Obama.

Although some bills may be able to pass with a bipartisan majority, the majority of the planned legislation is nearly guaranteed to fail. The goal for the Democrats at this point is not to actually tackle any of our nations problems, but rather to illustrate the differences between the two parties.

Some of the bills expected to be drafted in the coming months will deal with important issues such as heath care, the environment, the economy, and national security.
